DESCRIPTION

The Strategic Pricing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the iAutomation Price Policy through day-to-day administration of the iAutomation Pricing Procedures.

  • Review and analyze contracts, and discuss the distinguishing features of iAutomation products in relations to the approved pricing policy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in navigating all internal resources to validate key components of a customer’s demographics and product mix to assure prompt and accurate price quotes are delivered to Sales. Understand and fully navigate our SPA tool.
  • Team with Territory Sales Managers, Account Sales Managers, and Finance to provide clear, concise and accurate responses to pricing process and price policy questions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive agenda for outstanding requests that follow and demonstrate the overall pricing integrity of individual exception requests.
  • Effectively coordinate pricing exception requests for approval.
  • Continuously monitor, audit and analyze automated price quote activity to assure systematic risks are identified and corrected, sales training issues are identified and addressed, and pricing formulas and tables are properly maintained for approved pricing changes.
  • Recognize and anticipate missing data from price quote exception requests and obtain required information to assure proper review of relevant facts pertaining to the proposed opportunity.
  • Design and Pricing Activity reports and perform routine maintenance of pricing activity reports to assure on going management visibility of pricing activities and the ability to evaluate integrity of the pricing and discounting processes.
  • Train and proactively communicate iAutomation pricing policies and proper price quote and price quote exception procedures to the Sales team.
  • Read, interpret and discuss pricing request with Territory Sales Managers to assure proper understanding of the opportunity and related pricing implications.
  • Coordinate distribution of custom scopes of work with the Professional Services Team management to accompany non-standard price quotes.
  • Assure proper documentation of approved price quotes that enable accurate contracting at the point of final sale.

 

REQUIREMENTS & ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience related to basic financial analysis with 3+ hands-on experience in pricing and analysis with a rack record of success performing spreadsheet analyses. Ability to collaboratively enforce policies and  apply pricing principles to a business transaction. You must also have the skills to gather relevant data; input and manipulate the data to allow for complete analysis and identification of potential issues. RND Automation, a rapidly expanding robotic automation, assembly & packaging equipment company is seeking an Automation, Robotics & Packaging Machinery Account Manager in the Northeast.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Automation, Robotics & Packaging Machinery Account Manager will work with the Sales Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic business development and market penetration plan for the region.

  • Define major goals, objectives and timelines, identify target key accounts and relevant customer segments and develop and implement corresponding action plans.
  • Quickly learn about RND’s packaging division a manufacturer of HFFS and VFFS thermoforming machinery for both rigid and flexible film, and become familiar with their products to the point where you can identify potential new customers.
  • Create and execute sales plans and sales forecasts. Maintain proposal and opportunity logs and follow up with current and perspective customers both by phone, email and in person.
  • Drive sales revenues by directly managing the entire sales process at target customers, from lead generation to support of final contract negotiations. Strive to obtain required supplier clearances at major accounts by developing relationships with appropriate decision-makers on multiple levels.
  • Handle informational requests from interested potential customers, collect required support documentation (drawings, samples, specs etc..) and develop quotes and proposals in response to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Manage and communicate with an established network of external sales channels to complement internal sales activities.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry trade shows, seminars and networking events.

QUALIFICATIONS
(Minimum required credentials)

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or have completed a formalized technical vocational training complemented by additional business courses and 3+ years’ experience in technical sales, specifically with HFFS, VFFS, automation machinery, robotic and industrial packaging equipment.

  • Must be a sales hunter, reliable and exhibit a high level of determination and tenacity.
  • Strong strategic acumen with proven success in developing and executing business development/market penetration plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels from factory operators to C-level managers.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational and functional boundaries, effective communication with supervisor and subordinates

 The Lead Electrical Technician will be the electrical assembly technical lead for projects and may be responsible for some higher level project management activities. The individual will take on the responsibility for hands on wiring and assembly of custom automated, robotic and packaging equipment. While operating under minimal supervision in a manufacturing focused environment, this position will be involved in, but not limited to, electrical machine assembly, machine debug, and material handling. Electrical machine assembly includes the in-house panel build, electrical assembly, and the operation of the machine during and after debug, while at RND’s facility. It is this positions responsibility to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within labor budgets for assembly phase. To support the assembly phase, this position may also attend project design reviews and project huddles. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow company values and always drive forward with the principles of RND’s mission statement and goals. 
  • Be able to comprehend and follow the drawings in either the Project Assembly Book, or the Electrical Drawings Package. 
  • Assemble electrically, to the company assembly standards. 
  • Troubleshoot machines in regard to their electrical assemblies. 
  • Use experience to properly align and/or adjust assemblies to ensure they are square and in their proper location. 
  • Bring concerns or issues, with solutions if possible, back to the design team for evaluation. 
  • Assist with debug of machines utilizing proper flow guidelines (upstream stations before downstream stations, whenever possible). 
  • Operate machines, when needed, to assist in debug, customer training, and/or to gain time on a machine at the end of the debug process. 
  • Keep all work areas organized and free of clutter. This includes putting tools and assemblies away at the end of the day. 
  • Actively participate in project design reviews and project huddles. 
  • Act as the liaison between design staff and assembly to solve technical problems related to electrical design. 
  • Work with assembly team to ensure designs are being assembled as intended. 
  • Train Electrical Technicians. 
  • Maintain and help to set standards for assembly 
  • At times, be available for customer installs. This will require some travel.
